Hi, this is Dave once again, here to give you an update on what has been going on at Union Catholic and how I feel about the school year being half way over.
By far, these last two marking periods have been the best I have had in all of my school years. We have experienced and learned so many things!!! On December 5, 2008 we had our annual Christmas Semi-Formal!! It was a blast, filled with tons of dancing, food, and memorable times with our friends. Also, after the Thanksgiving Break, started our winter sports season. Personally I am involved in basketball and I am on the Freshman basketball team! We are having a great year and we are 6-5. We are lead by a very intelligent and hard-working coach, and we have a great bunch of kids with tons of talent. Overall, our season so far has been tons and tons of fun. Also in the winter season there is winter track and swimming and both of those programs are having successful seasons also. As the end of the marking period ended we all turned our attention to studying for mid-terms. The teachers really helped us during this time of real hardcore studying by telling us what to focus on and what is important to know for the test. They really made it easier for us! That is what I really love about this school! The teachers are really committed to their jobs, they make learning easy, and they make sure that everyone understands what they are learning. For me, mid-terms were a success! Even though they covered a lot of material they I still found them to be easier than what I expected.
School has been so great in these first two marking periods and I am proud to say that I have done very well. So I hope to keep my grades where they are and study hard for the final half of school.
I really love Union Catholic! It is so much fun! Its great because we get to socialize and hang out with our friends while still learning tons and tons of new things. I don't know about you, but I believe that going to Union Catholic is getting the best of both worlds when it comes to going to school!
